2 axle 40ft dry van semi trailer with logistic floor

Product Overview

A 2 axle 40ft dry van semi trailer with logistic floor is what you need when general dry vans collapse under daily forklift traffic. Unlike standard plywood-floor trailers where the floor delaminates after two years, this unit uses a 12-mm pressed steel logistic floor – welded directly to the crossmembers. You can drive a fully loaded pallet jack or a 3t forklift over it every shift, and it still holds pallets true.

Two axles keep tare weight low (≈ 7,100 kg) so you legally load 22.9t of cargo in most markets (EU, ASEAN, Middle East). The box is 40ft external, giving you 86m³ of clean, weather-tight space – no tarp, no straps, no cargo shifting.

The 2 Axle Advantage Over 3 Axle

A 3-axle dry van carries more dead weight (≈ 8,200 kg tare) and costs more in tyres. On a 31t gross weight limit (common in Europe and many Asian highways), a 2-axle gives you ~1,100 kg extra payload per trip. Over 100 trips, that’s 110 more tonnes moved – without changing driver, fuel, or route.

Also, 2 axles mean lower rolling resistance: you save 5-8% fuel compared to a 3-axle at the same speed.

Built for Real Operations

Rear frame – reinforced to take a 2t tail lift without reinforcement welding (bolt-on ready)

Floor drainage – four stainless steel drain holes, removable plugs. Wash out spilled cement or fertiliser easily

Corner posts – cast steel, not bent sheet. Survives dock impacts that would split a cheap trailer

Lighting – full LED, sealed to IP67. No bulb changes for 50,000 hours

Ecoating on internal cavities – all closed sections (posts, crossmembers) are electro-coated before assembly – no rust from inside out

Application Scenarios for This Dry Van

✔ Export packing container stuffing – works as a substitute for ocean containers but road-legal
✔ Retail store delivery – palletised dry goods (electronics, furniture, packaged food)
✔ Crossborder LTL (Less Than Truckload) – multiple stops; the rear door has a 270° locking mechanism to keep cargo secure overnight
✔ Chemical or fertiliser transport – easy-clean floor and no wood to absorb spills
✔ Automotive parts – racks can be bolted directly to the steel floor using track system (optional logistic track)

This trailer is not for oversized machinery (use flatbed) or frozen goods (use reefer). If you only move pallets under ambient temperatures, this is your most cost-effective, low-maintenance tool.

What This Trailer Cannot Do

  • Cannot carry 28t legally on public roads in most countries – 22.9t is the safe, legal number
  • Cannot be used as a portable warehouse – the floor is rated for moving loads, not static storage over months

  • Cannot be repaired with cheap plywood patches – but pressed steel sections can be welded or replaced individually

Factory Direct Advantage

We are a new exportfocused factory. That means:

  • Lead time: 25 working days for a 40ft 2-axle dry van (European brands: 45–60 days)
  • Transparency: we send photos of your trailer in production every 2 days – including floor welding, sandblasting, painting
  • One drawing per order: you confirm pallet layout, number of logistic rails, rear door type (roller or swing)
