This is a curtain side semi trailer – 3 axles, 80 ton payload capacity. Unlike standard curtain trailers built for light pallets, this one has reinforced floor, heavy duty axles, and a stronger roof bow structure. The sides slide open completely. Forklifts load from either side.

We build this for companies moving dense, heavy goods – palletized steel coils, bagged minerals, heavy machinery parts, or bulk industrial supplies. No light duty compromises.

Main frame: Q345B steel, web thickness 8 mm, flange 16 mm. Crossmembers: 120 mm channel steel, 300 mm spacing. This is not a standard light curtain sider.

Advantages that matter (no filler)

  1. 80 ton legal payload with 3 axles
    Three 16T axles allow 80 tons gross. You can load heavy industrial pallets without worrying about axle overload fines. Each axle includes a load test certificate for registration.
  2. Side opening saves handling time
    Forklift drives in from the side. No backing into a dock. No waiting for dock levelers. For heavy pallets going to mines or factories without loading bays, this cuts unloading time by half.
  3. Steel floor handles forklift abuse
    6 mm chequer plate steel floor. Forklift tynes, heavy pallet jacks, and dragging steel coils will not dent or split it. The crossmember spacing is tight – floor does not sag.
  4. Curtain is repairable but built tough
    1.0 mm thick curtain (0.8 mm is standard). Extra vertical tension straps prevent ballooning at higher speeds. If damaged, unbolt and replace the panel. No welding.
  5. Strong roof bows prevent collapse
    Steel bows every 600 mm. You can stack tall pallets without the curtain pressing into the roof. The roof also supports walking for tarping – but always use caution.
  6. Works with or without side curtain
    Pull the curtain fully open or remove it completely. Use as a flatbed for oversized items. Replace curtain in minutes.
